Rules & Regulations

All camping & recreational activities can be inherently dangerous. All activities are undertaken at your own risk. Riverbend Campground assumes NO liability for injuries or death.

  • ABSOLUTELY NO grease or oils should be disposed of through your grey or black tanks or dumped directly into the sewer system. You will be charged for any repairs required to the septic system and asked to leave immediately if caught dumping grease or oils.

​

  • The Hiawassee River can be dangerous! All swimming, fishing, wading, or other types of water recreation are at your own risk! Be aware of wildlife on the river.

​

  • There is no lifeguard on duty at any time! Parents are responsible for their children in the pool area. 

​

  • Riverbend Campground is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. For your own protection, secure your vehicle and valuables.

​

  • Our Wi-Fi service is offered as a free convenience to our guests. Riverbend Campground cannot control service interruptions.

​

  • A speed limit of 5 MPH is strictly enforced on the premises.

​

  • An adult must supervise all children at all times. Children are 0-16.

​

  • Quiet time begins at 10:00 PM. Please make sure noise is heard only at your site. Be courteous to other campers.

​

  • Absolutely NO PARKING on the grass. Only one vehicle and one family (two adults, and two children) allowed per site. There will be a $5.00 per guest per night charge for additional guests.

  • Guests must check in at the office. There will be a $2.00 charge per guest vehicle per day. Parking for guests upon availability only.

​

  • You are responsible for your guests knowing and abiding by all rules and regulations. Guests not abiding by the rules will be asked to leave immediately.

​

  • All pets must be kept on a leash at all times, pet owners are required to pick up after their pets and to keep them from barking. No pit bulls are permitted.

​

  • Sites should be kept neat at all times. 
     

  • Garbage and trash should be placed in bags and then into the dumpster located between the office and the bathhouse.
     

  • No dumping of grey water on the ground, use of the dump station is required.

​

  • Site must be clean on day of departure or there will be an additional charge.

​

  • All fishermen must abide by the State of Georgia rules and regulations. NO cleaning of fish on picnic tables. Do not put fish remains in dumpster.

​

  • All alcoholic beverages must remain on your own site and are not permitted in common areas of the premises.

​

  • Pool hours are 10:00 AM until dusk. Rules are posted at the pool and must be adhered to! Absolutely no diving, bathing suits only, no jeans of any kind, no diapers (little swimmers only), no pets allowed, and campers are responsible for any damage to the pool or pavilion. In case of emergency, contact 911 and then the office.

  • NO campfires are permitted on the pavement, in the grass, or around the picnic tables. Fires are permitted in the fire rings only. Do not move the fire rings! Absolutely no cooking on picnic tables.

​

  • Firearms, fireworks, and other potentially lethal devices are not permitted.

​

  • Washing of vehicles and/or campers is not permitted on the property

​

  • There is a $10.00 minimum to use credit or debit cards at the office.
